Worship

Our corporate Sunday worship/Eucharist starts at 1:00 PM, and we use the Book of Alternative Services of the Anglican Church of Canada, a contemporary liturgical book with inclusive language. The service is followed by a regular fellowship hour over coffee and refreshments.

Music

Our worship includes both traditional hymns and contemporary Christian music in unified joy. We also incorporate worship songs translated in the Filipino language, regularly scheduled on a monthly basis.

The piano, guitar and drums enhance our music worship, and these musical instruments are alternately played by members of the Anglican Church Women (ACW), Brotherhood of St. Andrew (BSA) and the youth group. On other special occasions, we incorporate the ethnic musical instruments, like gongs of the Igorot ethnic tribes from the Northern regions of the Philippines, in our worship.

Worship Leaders

We have designated the different Sundays of each month to our ministry groups so everyone will take the lead in worship:

  • First Sunday: Anglican Church Women (ACW)
  • Second Sunday: Brotherhood of St. Andrew (BSA)
  • Third Sunday: Children and Youth Sunday
  • Fourth Sunday: Music Team

When it’s their turn, these groups mainly lead as altar servers, readers, offertory ministers, and other roles.

Beyond Sundays

We also hold Bible Study sessions, Prayer Meetings, and special commitments where we continue to learn and study the Word of God, share stories and testimonies of how God has impacted and continues to impact our lives, and grow in our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, in the strength and power of the Holy Spirit.

What to Expect

The apostle Paul appealed to the Romans (12:1) to present themselves as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God. There is no dress code as to what to wear in coming to church. Come as you are. Some members of our parish attend our worship just before they rush to their work, while others come to church after their shifts. What’s more important is to bring yourself in Christ’s presence and worship Him in the beauty of his holiness and truth.

If you are new to the parish, an usher is waiting at the entrance of the sanctuary to hand you the bulletin, which serves as our main guide for the service. The usher will also ask somebody to sit with you to guide and assist you while the worship progresses.

You can come as a family. Children under 12 years old can go to Sunday School, while the youth attend a youth group program during the service. As for the little ones (babies), they are always welcome to join us in worship.
